It’s Breast Cancer Awareness Month

October brings cooler temperatures, fiery leaves, and some important health awareness.

As much  as we support female entrepreneurship and careers, there’s another aspect of life that we find just as important: health and self-care. It’s our mission to not just provide economic opportunities to women across the world, but to provide the kind of economic opportunities that come with health care, paid time off, and other benefits to ensure the wellness of our artisans and their families. This October, we’re making an effort to support the wellness of our Love Is Project community, too.

National Breast Cancer Awareness Month was started in 1985 as a way to raise awareness for a disease that has a devastating impact on women’s health. This outreach campaign provides knowledge and resources for early detection and treatment, increases support for those living with breast cancer, and raises funding for breast cancer research on prevention and treatment.

We’re proud to partner with theNational Breast Cancer Research Foundation, and will be donating 10% of net profits from sales during the month of October to further their mission of providing help and hope to those affected by breast cancer. NBCRF provides critical services to women all over the United States, including education and free preventative screenings.
