KENYA IMPACT
Kenya will always have a special place in my heart because this is where Love Is Project was born. The original handmade LOVE bracelet is crafted by the Maasai and Samburu tribes. The red beads represent bravery, strength, and unity to this beautiful community. All three of these qualities are essential to LOVE well and to LOVE with purpose.
We still need acres, equipment, seedlings, sheep, fuel, fences, farm tools, fencing posts, barbed wire, composted manure, and more. We invite you to help LOVE grow in ways you never thought imaginable.
LOVE STORIES FROM KENYA
LOVE Grows Program
With seeds of LOVE made available by Love Is Project, they managed to not only feed their own communities, but to sell their produce and begin herds of goats, sheep, and calves to better secure their future of their nutrition.

Lewa Marathon
Love Is Project was a proud sponsor of the 20th Anniversary Marathon in Lewa, Kenya. All the runners sported LOVE bracelets as they made it through the long journey—all the way to that glorious moment they cross the finish line.
This marathon also brings attention to an important cause. The challenges facing the people and wildlife in Africa are greater than ever, with a rapidly rising extinction rate (up to 10,000 times faster than the natural extinction rate), caused almost entirely by human activity.

Food Donations at schools in Ngong
$605 was donated to provide food for 45 students at Schools in Ngong.
"Your food contribution has made the students active, jovial and really concentrating. They say thank you very much. They are sharing with others coming to the fence over lunch hour."
LOVE's Impact in Kenya
We started Love Is Project with the intention of building an ethical supply chain of love that transcended geographical, linguistic, and cultural barriers to provide opportunities to female artisans in developing countries. It was no small task.
Four years of partnership later, and we’re happy to say that our community of artisans is growing and flourishing. While you may know Love Is Project’s bracelets, we’re privileged to see the impact of your purchases every day on Maasai women and their families.

Maasai Basketball Warriors
Empowering women and educating them on the importance of avoiding FGM while simultaneously encouraging men to fight for the rights of their sisters and future daughters is the only way FGM and other forms of violence against women can be eradicated. By bringing together young men and women through sports, the Warriors and Ladies are advocating for positive social change and becoming part of the solution.

Introducing Our Love Grows Program
Inspired by the Victory gardens during the World Wars, we funded food gardens and agriculture projects to help our artisans combat the food crisis caused by the pandemic.
