Our Atitlan LOVE bracelets hail from the colorful villages surrounding beautiful Lake Atitlán, Guatemala. Access to opportunities and support along the way have allowed the artisans to invest (on average) 90% of their wages back into their families: these women are more likely to send their daughters to school, to have improved health, and to become catalysts for positive change within their communities.
As if this look-good-feel-good collection wasn’t already complete, we’re including a traditional worry doll with each bracelet purchase. Whisper your deepest concerns to these “Muñecas Quitapenas” before placing them under your pillow; legend has it that they’ll spirit away your worries while you slumber.

Well I have a wiide hand so this style didn’t fit. The customer service people were lovely and offered to send a replacement. I made my own adjustments to the design so I can wear it. The bead made it hard to open it wide enough to fit my hand through. So once I removed it I could just tie the bracelet on my wrist.

I absolutely love the bracelet except the ties. They are much too long and drag through everything, while wearing it. Otherwise, I love it. And love sharing the love, particularly now.

GUATEMALA IMPACT
Since 2018, Love Is Project has been partnered with Mercado Global to bring gorgeous Atitlán bracelets from Guatemala to wrists all over the world. The artisans earn three times the daily wage of the average Guatemalan. Thanks to classes teaching women about combating malnutrition, food security for new artisans has tripled within two years of joining the program. 75% of artisans have reported an increased income, and all of them have bank accounts— compared to just 27% of the indigenous population. With the encouragement of Love Is Project and Mercado Global, Guatemalan women have flourished and improved the wellbeing of themselves and their communities!
Three years ago, three sisters, Carolina, Claudia and Wendy began working with Love Is Project weaving LOVE bracelets. They were able to build an extra floor in their home from their earnings to accommodate their mother.
