13 years ago, I met Jen Cox through our mutual friend Natasha. Jen is a talented fashion designer and world traveler with a gigantic heart. We clicked from the moment we said hello.
While I’m focused on growing Love Is Project, she’s focused on growing her own business—Momma Osa, a SoCal-based organization that gives back to their local community through their Tie Dye Kits. On a recent trip we took together to Tulum (pre-COVID-19), we decided it was time to join forces to bring a Tie Dye Kit to our Love Is Project community.
Jen says, “I feel honored to be a small part of such an amazing mission of empowering thousands of female artisans in developing countries around the world through fair wages, healthcare, education, and more—paving the way to a positive future ahead. Momma Osa is rooted in giving back to our local Los Angeles Communities, and I’m feeling blessed to be a part of this project and how it affects everyone all over the world.”
Jen and I are both passionate about creating a more positive world and giving back through art! And as minority female founders, we have a shared understanding of what it means to be heard and seen in business. We support each other and we’re both lucky we have supportive family and friends who help us along the way.
For every Love Is Project Tie Dye Kit sold, we will donate 10% to Olive Crest, a non-profit that serves at-risk children and families in California, Nevada, and the Pacific Northwest.
As a child, I was obsessed with tie dyeing, puffy painting, and spin painting all my tees and sweatshirts. It’s fun to see this trend come back to life and give people an artistic outlet to express themselves. By using our Love Is Project Tie Dye Kit, you can create wearable art! It's a perfect activity or gift during these times.
XOXO,
Chrissie
