In India, our approach is practical and personal. We collaborate closely with artisans, listening to what will make the biggest difference at home and in their work—and then we act. That’s why support has taken the form of income-generating tools like sewing machines and mixers, as well as everyday essentials including a bicycle, fridge, washing machine, a handicap tricycle, and food and kitchen utensils. These additions reduce financial stress, open new revenue streams, and create more stability, so artisans can focus on their craft and their families’ future.

HOW WE'VE HELPED IN INDIA

That’s why support has taken the form of income-generating tools like sewing machines and mixers, as well as everyday essentials including a bicycle, fridge, washing machine, a handicap tricycle, and food and kitchen utensils.
Love Is Project donated $1500 USD to our Indian artisans - for supplies they requested and sewing machines so they have another source of income besides beading. Traditionally, the women are not allowed to go to school. We have been in talks with the leaders to get a tutor through an local NGO in to teach them literacy and financial literacy to empower them. This is the next phase along with getting Solar electricity to their village in 2021.
Love Is Project partners with Access Development in India. We donated $1500 in 2020 to create jobs for 7 women to make 7000 masks to donate in the slums.
